We are happy that our project Civil Twilight-Choreography for 450nm and 600nm is part of coming years edition of The Great Dutch Art Calendar.
The video-light installation Civil Twilight - Choreography for 450 nm and 600 nm works with the palette of the night sky colours, a deep indigo-violet-blue and deep orange-red ranges, the shortest and longest wavelengths visible to human eye.
It features a cube-like shape in constant movement that plays with the perception of colour and shape. It combines infrathin layers of colour light projected across several surfaces, creating a perceptual continuum, the shape constantly affected by a flux of merging colour fields.
The Great Dutch Art Calendar has been a success for eight years: "Every year, we create a new edition and fill the large-format tear-off calendar (30 x 34 cm) with art by renowned artists and up-and-coming talent. The calendar offers a stage to 365 designers, graphic designers, illustrators, fashion designers, photographers and architects. The three-kilo must-have is sold out in no time every year."
